Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti confirms that he has not given up on signing Milan forward Alexandre Pato.
The highly rated Brazilian was linked with a January exit from San Siro after he had fallen out with coach Maxi Allegri.
Paris Saint-Germain subsequently expressed an interest in signing the 22-year-old, but the Saints failed to wrap up the deal before the transfer window closed.
Nevertheless, PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti claims that he will return for the promising forward in the summer.
“There is an attacker in the future of PSG and Pato is a great attacker,” the Italian coach told Il Corriere dello Sport.
The former Chelsea boss also missed out on Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez.
“His priority was Milan. When we negotiated for him his requests were so high that in the end it was actually us who didn’t accept.”
Paris Saint-Germain did manage to sign a high-profile player on transfer deadline day as Thiago Motta arrived from Inter after the two clubs agreed on a transfer fee.
The Italian international is expected to help the Saints keep their Ligue 1 title bid alive as well as attract more quality players to Parc des Princes.
