Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has quashed speculations linking Mamadou Sakho and Clement Chantome with a summer exit from Parc des Princes.
Talented defender Mamadou Sakho recently revealed that he could leave the club this summer in search of first team football, while expressing his unhappiness with the treatment at Parc des Princes.
Midfielder Clement Chantome were expected to follow in his footsteps seeing that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas had expressed his interest in signing the 24-year-old.
However, it appears the two players will not be allowed to leave the club this summer, and this has been confirmed by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
“We have decided that Mamadou remains. Chantome as well. They stay at PSG,” the Italian tactician told L’Equipe.
“Chantome clearly asked to leave. I said: ‘happy or not happy, you stay’.”
Mamadou Sakho has lost his place in the starting line-up following the arrival of Milan Bisevac, Alex and Diego Lugano, but he, nonetheless, amassed a total of 22 Ligue 1 appearances last term.
Chantome, on the other hand, featured in just 15 Ligue 1 matches last season, while making four Europa League appearances.
