RSC Anderlecht needed only two match rounds to go top in the Belgian top flight. The Brussels outfit beat Cercle Brugge 3-2 to record their second win in a row.

Matias Suarez put last year’s runners-up in the lead after 12 minutes at Constant Vanden Stock stadium in Brussels.

Anthony Portier levelled in minute 28 but an own goal from Frederik Boi restored the home side’s lead just before the break.

Mbark Boussoufa made it 3-1 shortly after the hour and although Thomas Buffel pulled one back in the 73rd minute, Anderlecht held on to their lead to jump to first place in the Jupiler League.
