RSC Anderlecht stormed back into first place with a 0-2 win at Verbroedering Dender but there were few smiling faces as goalkeeper Daniel Zitka suffered a serious injury.

The incident took place just before full time and Anderlecht medics fear for a fractured calf bone. The keeper is currently undergoing more tests.

Anderlecht were clearly the better side at Dende and opened the score through Gillet after only four minutes.

Keeper Berthelin did well to limit the damage from then on but couldn’t avoid Frutos’ goal for 0-2 in the 50th minute.

The Brussels outfit move from third to first place but Club Brugge and Standard Liege still have this week’s game in hand.
