(GSM) – Saturday’s Belgian top clash between Anderlecht and Club Brugge ended in a 2-2 draw, a result that leaves the championship all but decided.
Brugge began the match at no less than eight points from their rivals, meaning that a win was more or less mandatory if they wanted to stay in contention for the title.
But an own goal from Ryan Donk put Anderlecht ahead on 16 minutes and Matias Suarez made it 2-0 eight minutes after the break.
Brugge did fight their way back as Nabil Dirar in the 55th minute and Donk, making up for his own goal, in the 81st.
Nevertheless, the gap between the two sides remains eight points with just seven games to go.
