(GSM) – Anderlecht once again extended their lead in the Belgian championship group and are all but certain of the title.
The Brussels outfit beat Kortrijk 1-0 in a home match, with Ondrej Mazuch scoring the only goal in the 32nd minute.
Anderlecht’s nearest rivals Club Brugge crashed to a 2-0 defeat at sixth-placed Zulte-Waregem. Jeremy Tavarel broke the deadlock after 80 minutes and Ernest Nfor doubled the lead five minutes later.
In Wednesday’s remaining game, Gent held Sint-Truiden to a scoreless draw.
With five games left to play, Anderlecht’s lead over Brugge grows to an extremely comfortable 11 points.
