Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Benfica may be prepared to lower the asking price for Serbian midfielder Filip Djuricic.
The 24-year-old was loaned to Anderlecht this winter following a largely disappointing spell at Estadio da Luz, with an €8 million buy-out clause inserted in the deal.
And with Djuricic having impressed since moving to Anderlecht, the Belgian giants are now keen to turn his loan deal into permanent move.
However, they have already made it clear that they will not be able to meet the high release clause, meaning that Benfica need to lower their price if they want to get rid of the Serbian footballer.
According to A Bola, the Eagles may decide to accept a lower bid seeing that they do not believe that the midfielder has future in Portugal.
Filip Djuricic had previously enjoyed loan spells with Mainz and Southampton, and it appears he has finally rediscovered his form in Belgium.
