RSC Anderlecht have joined Club Brugge and Sint-Truiden at the top of the Belgian Pro League following an 1-2 victory at Excelsior Mouscron.
In the only league game played on Thursday, Anderlecht initially struggled to find their way past the opposing defense. In fact, Excelsior took the lead through Chemcedine El Araïchi in the 22nd minute.
But the guests from Brussels leveled through Matias Suarez in the 32nd minute and Romelo Lukaku eventually netted the winner in the 74th.
Brugge, Anderlecht and Sint-Truiden all have 17 points from eight games, and are followed by Mechelen in fourth place.
