Anderlecht youngster Charly Musonda Jr reveals that he dreams of playing for Spanish giants Barcelona.
The 15-year-old is a son of former Anderlecht midfielder Charly Munsonda Sr and he looks set to upstage his father at the biggest stage.
The youngster is one of the hottest commodities in world football and his father reveals that major European clubs are lining up for his signature.
“Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have offered exorbitant amounts of money to get him”, Charly Musonda Sr told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
“One scout has told Charly that there would definitely be room for him at Real Madrid.”
The young midfielder is aware of the heavy interest in his services, but he explains that one of those teams are close to his heart.
“My father gets calls from the top clubs every week”, Musonda Jr said. “Last year he even had to change his phone number.”
“Barcelona have called me and they are my favourite team. I watch them every week.”
However, the player wants to follow the footsteps of his father and leave his mark at Anderlecht before accepting one of the numerous offers from top European clubs.
“I want to follow the path of my father and get into Anderlecht’s first team before I go.”
The Zambian wonderkid is currently playing for Anderlecht youth sides, together with his older brothers Lamisha and Tika.
19-year-old Lamisha Musonda is on the verge of joining the senior squad and his two brothers could soon follow in his footsteps.
