The MLS side New York City FC have secured the signing of the Slovenia defender Andraz Struna.
The transfer has been officially confirmed at the club’s website where it’s added that Struna will officially be registered as the NYCFC player once his P1 visa is approved.
Struna joined the American side from Scottish side Heart of Midlothian. He signed a contract which runs until the end of the 2017 season, while there is an option for the 28-year-old to sign a two-year extension once the current campaign is over.
A powerful but technically skilled Slovenian right-back, made a career for himself playing in Poland and Greece before arriving to Scotland in January.
Andraz Struna only played 13 league matches for Heart of Midlothian over the past six months. He received 25 caps for the Slovenian national team and scored one goal in a Euro 2016 qualifier against San Marino.
