Andre Gomes in high demand

El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that a number of top European sides are showing interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.

The 23-year-old didn’t exactly impress in his first season at Camp Nou, but he remains held in high regard.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Manchester City recently submitted a €35 million proposal for Andre Gomes, but they were told the player was not for sale.

The same source claims that another unnamed club offered €45 million for the Portugal international, only to receive the same answer.

This is enough to suggest that new head coach Ernesto Valverde sees Gomes as an integral part of the squad at Camp Nou.
