Andre-Pierre Gignac in line for a swift return to Europe

Not few people were surprised to see French forward Andre-Pierre Gignac make move to Mexican side Tigres UANL last summer amid interest from several European clubs.

Former Marseille’s man choice proved to be pa proper hit as the 30-year-old striker was an instant success with the Mexican club going on to score 24 goals in 32 appearances.

His fantastic performances for Tigres UANL have reopened the door of the French national team and Andre-Pierre Gignac is expected to be on the Didier Deschamp’s list for the upcoming 2016 European Championship finals.

Gignac’s return to Europe for Euro 2016 this summer could turn out to be a permanent one as the experienced French striker is once again a target for a number of European clubs.

Stoke City are among those who have expressed interest to bring the 30-year-old forward according to Le10Sport.

The Premier League club would have no problem matching the €25 million release clause set by the Mexican club.
