France international striker Andre-Pierre Gignac wants to quit Mexican football and is eager to return to Europe during the summer transfer window.
The experienced 30-year-old forward has already informed Mexican side Tigres about his desire to leave as soon as possible and even recommended a possible replacement he believes Tigres should sign.
According to France Football, Gignac has pointed his finger to Caen striker Andy Delort, the 24-year-old France international who scored 12 goals for his club in 36 Ligue 1 appearances.
It is believed that Tigres have already submitted an initial offer for Delort which was turned down by French side Caen and which is believed to be the main reason why the player is currently refusing to turn up at training with the Normandy club.
Andre-Pierre Gignac has been a part of French national team at the Euro 2016 following a successful spell in Mexico where he was named the Mexican league’s best player and top scorer with 29 goals in 39 appearances.
