Borussia Dortmund are closing in on Wolfsburg forward Andre Schurrle, German media outlet Bild can reveal.
The Millionaires need attacking reinforcements after Henrikh Mkhitaryan left the club to join Manchester United, and coach Thomas Tuchel hopes to get reunited with the player he coached at Mainz.
According to reports, Wolfsburg will not stand in the player’s way as he looks to sign for Borussia Dortmund, although the two clubs have yet to agree on a transfer fee.
While the Millionaires started the bidding at €25 million, their Bundesliga rivals are holding out for €32 million, which is exactly how much they paid for the forward when he arrived from Chelsea.
Schurrle has only managed 13 goals and 10 assists in 63 competitive outings for the Wolves, but Thomas Tuchel seems to believe he can get his career back on track at Signal-Iduna Park.
Borussia Dortmund will be hoping to mount a serious title challenge in Bundesliga next season, and they are 7/1 shot to lift the league trophy.
