With the departure of Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez looking more and more likely with each passing day Arsenal have begun looking for potential replacements for their star man. One name on the list, and a player who was linked with a move to North London in the summer, is Andre Silva. According to the Mirror the AC Milan striker could make the switch to the Emirates if Sanchez does indeed leave.
Silva had flirted with a move to Arsenal last summer but ultimately decided to join what was shaping up to be an exciting AC Milan side. However despite their summer spending spree the Rossoneri have had a poor start to the season, slipping to tenth place in the Serie A table after eight games. Silva is yet to find the net in the league this season, though he has bagged four goals in two Europa League games.
The concern for Milan fans is that failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League will result in a mass exodus of many of their exciting new signings, and this could certainly be the case for Silva if Arsenal do come knocking.
