Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli has refused to comment on the speculations linking him with a summer switch to Juventus.
Poli, 23, returned to Marassi last summer after Inter surprisingly opted against exercising the clause to make his loan deal permanent, and the Neroazzurri soon lived to regret the decision.
The talented midfielder has been in outstanding form this season, helping Sampdoria climb away from the danger zone.
Reports from Italian media recently suggested that Poli had already agreed to join Juventus in the summer transfer window, but the player himself has moved to deny the rumours.
“I’m happy to be playing my football here in this shirt,” the midfielder told Il Corriere Mercantile newspaper. “This is the ideal environment for a young player to improve.
“I’m only thinking of Sampdoria, I have nothing else to reflect on. My target at this point in time is to make sure Sampdoria finish as high as possible.”
Andrea Poli has been earning rave reviews for his performances this season, and has scored 2 goals in 19 Serie A appearances.
The impressive showings in Serie A saw the cultured midfielder return into the international reckoning, although he did not enter the pitch in 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Malta.
