Anelka closing in on new Chelsea deal

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka is set to hold talks over a new contract with the Premier League giants.

The France international still has two years left on his current contract with the Blues, but his agent, Doug Pingisi, says talks about an extension is under way.

“I think we will be having talks with Chelsea next week about Nicolas’ contract,” Pingisi told Sky Sports.

“Nicolas has two years left on his present contract and I think Chelsea would like to extend it.

“We plan to sit down and have talks with Chelsea about Nicolas’ future.”
