Torino president Urbano Cairo has admitted that star player Angelo Ogbonna will probably be leaving the club next summer.
Everybody at the club was delighted to see the January transfer window closing as it meant the talented defender would stay on at least until the end of the season.
However, with top European clubs lining up for the player’s signature, club chairman admits they are fighting a losing battle.
“A lot of clubs are still very interested in Ogbonna,” Urbano Cairo told Tuttosport.
“In June we’ll sit down and evaluate together what to do next. Maybe he’ll have a desire to stay here for a bit longer…”
Manchester United, PSG, Milan and Juventus have all been linked with the Italy international, although Torino are adamant not to let him join their local rivals from Turin.
Il Granata are holding out for €20 million, but they may have to lower the asking price if Ogbonna expresses a desire to leave the club at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has made just 11 Serie A appearances for Torino this season, missing the rest of the campaign through a hernia problem.
