Angry Camoranesi out for months

(GSM) – Mauro Camoranesi might be sidelined for the rest of the season. The Juventus midfielder sustained a serious thigh injury in last Saturday’s match against Bari (3-1 loss) and claims that Juve’s medical staff made mistakes which aggravated the injury.

“I am not a specialist, but I contacted some Argentine medics who are professionals in this sector and they told me in cases like this you need to suck out the blood to reduce the bruising,” said Camoranesi’s agent Sergio Fortunato on calciomercato.it.

“This was not done. They tried doing it 10 hours later, but it was far too late, as by that time the blood had coagulated. Mauro’s leg was like an egg, it was visibly swollen and full, they should’ve removed the blood.”

It’s not clear if Camoranesi’s injury requires surgery and when the Italy international will return on the pitch.

“Mauro is physically very strong,” added Fortunato. “But, he’s very disappointed and angry. I think it’s likely that he will be back in March, but it’s difficult to make assumptions right now. In any case, he is not worried about the World Cup, he’ll be ready,” added Fortunato.
