Oscar Cardozo’s future at Benfica has been under some doubt recently and now it seems as though Fiorentina are the club who are interested in signing the striker, thats according to Talk Sport.
With his prolific form in front of goal in Portugal’s top flight over recent years, Cardozo has got himself noticed by some of Europe’s biggest clubs and he has shown what a natural goal-scorer he is.
The Serie A side are keen to secure his services to boost their chances of mounting a challenge to reach the European places in the Italian top flight and maybe even make a challenge for the title.
It is being suggested that the Uruguayan may not be their main target in this summer transfer window though – as they are still keeping tabs on Manchester United front-man Dimitar Berbatov.
Should the move him fall though – Fiorentina are likely to step up their interest in the Benfica star.
They may be involved in a bidding war with over clubs to sign him, with English Premier League clubs Chelsea and Everton also said to be admires of Cardozo’s.
It is certainly a big decision for him to make at this stage of his career, where will the goal-scorer end up playing his football?
