Anthony Gordon is set to sign a new contract with Newcastle United, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has reported on X that an agreement between Newcastle and Gordon has been reached, and that it will be formalised in the coming days.
Romano wrote on X: “Agreement done between Newcastle and Anthony Gordon, new contract set to be signed soon!
“Understand it will be valid until June 2029, five year contract after the club rejected several approaches.
“Gordon will be in line with #NUFC highest earners with new contract ready.”
Gordon is one of the best young wingers in the Premier League and has been superb for Newcastle since his move to St. James’ Park from Everton in 2023. The 23-year-old England international winger scored 11 goals and gave 10 assists in 34 Premier League starts last season and has scored one goal in five matches in the Premier League for the Magpies so far this campaign.
