According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, an anti-Juventus pact has been put together by Inter Milan, Roma and Napoli in order to prevent Mauro Icardi from joining the Italian champions. This sensational news would see him join Napoli, with Milik heading to Roma and Edin Dzeko finally completing his highly anticipated move to Inter Milan. Juventus have been reigning supreme over Italian football for longer than most of us can remember, and it would seem as if these three clubs have recognised that. If Icardi did wind up joining Juventus, there’s an argument to be made that their attacking presence would be utterly unstoppable.

Regardless of whether or not you believe that to be the case, this pact definitely shows that the general landscape of football and how clubs interact with one another could change pretty dramatically in the next few years.

Or, perhaps this is just a one off.
