Serie A side Cagliari have announced the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Antonio Adan on their official website.
The 26-year-old arrivs at Stadio Is Arenas as a free agent with his contract at Real Madrid having expired back in June.
Adan has signed a one-year contract with Isolani with an option for a further year and he has been assigned number 26.
The talented goalkeeper will be vying with Michael Agazzi and Vladimir Avramov for a starting berth at Stadio Is Arenas.
Antonio Adan had come through the youth ranks at Santiago Bernabeu and went on to make 134 league appearances for club’s B and C teams between 2004 and 2010.
He was then promoted to the first team set-up, where he long acted as a back-up for Iker Casillas, and made a total of 7 La Liga appearances.
Adan has finally been given an opportunity to command a regular starting berth and prove he has what it takes to play at this level.
