Premier League leaders Chelsea are readying summer bid for Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Antonio Conte is a big fan of the 30-year-old footballer having worked with him in the Italy national team and he will attempt to bring the Nerazzurri star to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Candreva is perfectly capable of operating as a full-back or winger in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation, on either side, so no wonder he has emerged as a top target for the Blues.
The question is whether Inter Milan will consider selling him just a year after he was purchased from Lazio, although a big money offer could persuade them to cash in on the experienced footballer.
Candreva has done fairly well in his first season at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, scoring 4 goals and producing 5 assists in 27 league appearances.
