Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte wants to sign Stefan de Vrij from Inter Milan in the January transfer window, according to The Guardian. The report has claimed that Conte worked with De Vrij at Italian and European giants Inter and is keen for Tottenham to bring the defender to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this month.
De Vrij is one of the best central defenders in the world and has been on the books of Inter since 2018. The 29-year-old Netherlands international centre-back was a key player for Inter in their Serie A title triumph last season.
Inter are aiming to win the Scudetto again this season. The defending Italian champions are at the top of the league table at the moment with 49 points from 20 matches, a point ahead of second-placed and bitter city rivals AC Milan, who have played 21 games.
