Contract negotiations between Michail Antonio and West Ham United have stalled after the midfielder reject the clubs first offer, according to Sky Sports.
The twenty-seven year old has firmly established himself as one of the East London club’s key players over the past two seasons though is some way behind some of his teammates in terms of what he earns.
Despite predominantly playing in midfield areas, the former Nottingham forest man has been deployed as a defender and an attacker this season and is keen for his versatility to be rewarded.
Since swapping the East Midlands for the capital, Antonio has racked up sixty-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring eighteen goals.
He was called up to the England squad for the first team back in September under former manager Sam Allardyce but is yet to make his senior international debut while he also won no caps at any youth level for his country.
