Anzhi have opened talks with Real Madrid over the signing of Brazilian midfielder Kaka, according to AS.
The club from Makhachkala have long been monitoring the player’s situation at Santiago Bernabeu and they believe this is the right time to try and secure his services.
Kaka was hoping to leave los Blancos in the January transfer window, but his return to AC Milan seems to have fallen through.
Anzhi now hope to take advantage of the situation and sign the Brazilian before the transfer window closes in January.
Club sporting director Roberto Carlos was in Madrid last week to visit his family and he is believed to have used the opportunity to speak to the player about a proposed move to Makhachkala.
Anzhi officials are believed to be negotiating a transfer fee with their Real Madrid counterparts, and it looks as though they might come to an agreement in the coming days.
