Anzhi in talks with Malouda

Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala are preparing an offer to sign Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda, according to Izvestia.

Anzhi have just completed a €35 million deal for Shakhtar Donetsk star Willian, but they are keen to sign few more players before the winter transfer window closes.

Russian daily Izvestia claims that they are ready to offer Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda a one-and-a-half-year deal worth €1.5 million per campaign.

The player’s representative Salvador de Miranda has confirmed that his client is hoping to leave Stamford Bridge, but did not want to comment on the Anzhi link.

Malouda has been training with the Chelsea reserves since September after he failed to leave the Blues in the summer transfer window.

The 32-year-old has five more months left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, but he will probably be allowed to leave on a free transfer, which is something Anzhi are hoping to exploit and sign a quality player free of charge.
