Talk Sport is today reporting that Russian big spenders Anzhi Makhachkala are the latest club to show an interest in Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder and could make a move for him in the January transfer window.
The Dutchman’s future with the Serie A giants certainly looks to be unclear as he has clashed with manager Andre Stramaccioni on a number of occasions and at the moment – is not being played due to the Inter boss believing he is not fit enough.
The Italian side know that Sneijder is a massive talent, but Stramaccioni is building a squad of his own and now they may try to cash-in on the playmakers.
Anzhi are sure to offer a big sum of money as well as they are desperate to add another star to the team and help the club push forward and challenge for a Champions League spot in Russia’s top flight.
They also pay Samuel Eto’o an incredible £350,000-per-week and if they were to offer Sneijder something similar – it would be very tough for him to turn down.
If it is money that he is interested in, then Anzhi would certainly be the favourites to land the playmaker.
We shall see.
