Ghana captain Stephen Appiah admits he needs to find a new club, as reports link him with a move to Bologna.
The midfielder is a free agent after leaving Fenerbahce and was a rumoured target of Arsenal, West Ham and Fulham during the summer.
A move to the Premier League failed to materialise but Appiah could now be close to a return to Serie A, with the 28-year-old applying for an Italian passport.
The former Juventus and Udinese star is reportedly on Bologna’s radar as a possible replacement for Massimo Mutarelli, who has undergone a knee ligament operation.
Appiah could welcome the move, saying: “I need to find a club if I want to be involved in the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup.”
