April 21st: Sunday’s Premier League Double – 5/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With four Premier League fixtures stealing centre stage throughout Sunday afternoon, we have a host of season-defining showdowns from both ends of the table.

Along with Liverpool making the trip to Fulham, Everton will welcome Nottingham Forest to Goodison Park for what is a real relegation six-pointer.

Ahead of a stacked Sunday of Premier League action, we have taken a look at two of the best available betting markets.

15:00 Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

Edging their way past Lille earlier in the week following a nail-biting penalties victory, the mood in Aston Villa’s camp should be at a red-hot high. Extending on their Europa Conference League adventure on foreign soil and punching their semi-final ticket, Unai Emery’s men are pencilled in as a leading European contender this season.

Only continuing to receive a string of plaudits from across the continent this year, Sunday’s hosts are sat firmly in pole position to secure a famous Champions League spot in 2024.

Last seen in Premier League action making a stunning statement away at title contenders Arsenal as they left north London with a 2-0 victory, Villa will also be excited to make a return to the Midlands here.

Landing a routine 3-0 romp when they welcomed Bournemouth to Villa Park last season, Emery’s high-flying squad know that they face what could be a season-defining showdown this weekend.

While the Cherries might have opened up the 2023/24 campaign in the midst of a real struggle, Sunday’s guests have shown plenty of improvements on either side of opening the New Year.

Skyrocketing up the Premier League standings and losing just one of their previous seven top-flight appearances, Andoni Iraola’s men are still dreaming of the chance to book a top-half finish.

However, facing what will certainly be a real challenge when they travel to the Midlands this weekend, Bournemouth are seeking some welcomed stability away from the Vitality.

Last seen on their travels suffering a 2-1 defeat against relegation scrappers Luton, the Cherries have secured just a single Premier League win on their travels since opening 2024.

15:00 Crystal Palace vs West Ham

Putting in a famous performance away at title contenders Liverpool last week as they left Anfield with a stunning 1-0 victory, Crystal Palace will be desperate to use that display as a platform to build on. Appointing new boss Oliver Glasner back in February and skyrocketing away from a potential relegation scrap, Sunday’s hosts have gained plenty of recent praise.

Looking to collect back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since appointing the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager, it should also be noted that the South London outfit have lost just a pair of home fixtures since the start of December.

Smelling a golden opportunity here, Palace will also be excited by a stellar record against Sunday’s guests.

Snatching a 1-1 draw when they travelled across the capital for their reverse Premier League meeting on December 3rd, they have collected seven points from their last three top-flight showdowns against the Hammers.

Suffering Europa League heartbreak earlier in the week as they suffered a 3-1 aggregate defeat against newly-crowned Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham have shown some extended issues since opening the New Year.

Last seen in Premier League action putting in a nightmare performance at the London Stadium as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham, David Moyes has found a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders.

With it expected that the former Manchester United boss will be leaving east London at the end of the season, West Ham have recorded just a single win from any of their previous seven appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, it should also be noted that the Hammers have lost three of their last four showdowns away from the London Stadium.
