April 23rd: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 6/1

With a stacked weekend schedule from across Europe on our hands, we have a host of intriguing meetings that are worth keeping an eye out for. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth taking note of.

Saturday April 23rd

BST 15:00 Exeter City vs Rochdale

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, last seen earlier in the week getting hit with a 2-0 loss away at Tranmere, there is no doubt that Exeter will be seeking an immediate response here. Still holding a four-point buffer from dropping out of the top-three and tipped as a landslide pick to make a League One return this season, Matt Taylor’s side should be smelling a real chance this weekend. Previously enjoying a nine-match unbeaten run prior to their trip to Tranmere a few days ago, it should be noted that the Grecians have continued to shine on home soil this year. Last seen in Devon landing a deserved 2-0 victory against Colchester last weekend, Exeter are unbeaten in each of their last nine contests at St. James’ Park, a run that stems all the way back to January 7th. Likewise, managing to pick up a staggering 23 points from those nine League One home fixtures, Taylor’s side will be looking to cash in on a Rochdale squad that have shown some real issues on the road this season. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a 1-0 loss at Stevenage, Saturday’s guests have lost each of their last five away matchups on the spin. It should also be highlighted, collecting just three points away from the Spotland Stadium since the start of January, we’re backing a home victory for Exeter here.

Tip: Exeter City win & under 4.5 goals @ 19/20

17:20 Woking vs Wrexham

Last seen putting in another thumping display as they cruised their way to a 4-0 romp against Altrincham on home soil, the mood in Wrexham’s camp should be at a red-hot high. Enjoying what has been a stunning purple patch, the Dragons are now tipped as one of the leading picks to book a Football League return this season. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat second in the National League table, Phil Parkinson’s side are in the midst of a staggering 15-match unbeaten run across all formats, a run that stems all the way back to February 5th. Gaining a fearsome reputation for their displays in the final third, it should also be noted that Saturday’s guests have continued to shine on the road. Mustering 10 points from their last four matchups away from the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham will also be boosted by their most recent meeting against Wrexham. Storming their way to a 4-0 victory when they made the trip to Surrey last season, Parkinson’s men will be desperate to lay down another marker here. While the Cardinals might have been last seen picking up a routine victory against a rock-bottom Dover, they have shown some extended probelms at the Laithwaite Community Stadium. Including back-to-back defeats against Torquay and Solihull Moors, Woking have lost five of their previous seven contests in front of their own supporters.

Tip: Wrexham win @ 7/10

18:00 St. Etienne vs Monaco

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, putting in another impressive display earlier in the week as they picked up a 1-0 victory against Nice on home soil, Monaco appear to be really enjoying life under Philippe Clement. Storming their way up the Ligue 1 table and now with their sights set on clinching a Champions League return this season, the former Club Brugge boss has now seen his high-flying squad win each of their last six top-flight matchups on the spin. With their recent stellar purple patch highlighted by a shock 3-0 romp against runaway leaders PSG, there is no doubt that the Monégasques should be smelling a golden chance this weekend. Knowing that another victory here could skyrocket them as high as third in the standings, it should also be noted that Monaco have clinched back-to-back Ligue 1 victories away from the Stade Louis II. On the flip side, while St. Etienne might have played out an action-packed 2-2 draw against Bordeaux last time out, they are in the midst of a domestic nightmare. Managing to win just one of their previous six Ligue 1 matchups, they are also in the heart of a relegation scrap. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat in 18th and one-point adrift of safety, Saturday’s hosts will know that they face a tough task here. With Monaco picking up a 3-1 win when the two sides faced off earlier in the season, we’re backing a similar outcome.

Tip: Monaco win & over 1.5 goals @ 6/5
