April 26th: Friday’s European Double – 3/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With another stacked European schedule on the cards this weekend, the action will get underway on Friday night.

As the likes of Real Madrid look to take a giant leap towards this season’s La Liga crown, we also have fixtures from the likes of Italy and Germany.

For those of you looking to stick on a Friday flutter, we have found a pair of European betting markets that are worth keeping an eye out for.

19:30 Venezia vs Cremonese

Although Venezia might have eventually fallen short in their bid to claim a play-off ticket last season, Friday’s hosts have come roaring back this time around. Now with their sights firmly set on securing a lucrative Serie A return this season, Paolo Vanoli’s side open this weekend’s fixtures sat just three points adrift of breaking into the automatic promotion spots.

Last seen putting in another eye-catching display as they secured a 2-1 victory away at Lecco, the Winged Lions will know the importance of making another statement at the Pier Luigi Penzo here.

Marking their return from March’s international break with a stellar 3-0 romp against Palermo, the one-time inter Milan coach has seen his squad lose just one of their previous six second-tier appearances.

Likewise, including a 3-1 victory against Bari last month, it should also be highlighted that Venezia have collected nine points from their previous four Serie B showdowns in front of their own supporters.

While Cremonese might still be sat firmly in the driving seat to clinch a play-off ticket this season, Friday’s guests do appear to be imping their way over the finish line.

With the feel of a squad seeking a much-needed boost, the Tigers have managed to register just a single victory from any of their previous six Serie B appearances.

Last seen putting in a toothless performance as they had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate away ay Catanzaro, Cremonese should certainly face another stern examination here.

Hit with a routine 3-1 loss when they travelled to the Pier Luigi Penzo back in February 2021, we are expecting a similar outcome on Friday night.

20:00 Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid

Mounting a stunning El Clasico comeback in the Spanish capital last week, Real Madrid are enjoying what has been a remarkable purple patch. Eventually snatching a 3-2 victory against arch-rivals Barcelona, Los Blancos now have their sights firmly set on completing what would be a famous double-winning campaign.

Booking a Champions League semi-final ticket earlier in the month and sending defending champions Manchester City packing, Carlo Ancelotti’s men find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high heading into the final month.

Collecting a pair of heavyweight scalps over the past fortnight, the former AC Milan boss has also seen his superstar squad suffer just a single defeat across any competition since opening the New Year.

Now holding an 11-point buffer at the top of the La Liga table and breezing their way to another domestic crown, it should also be highlighted that Real Madrid have won all of their previous three showdowns outside the capital.

On the flip side, while Real Sociedad might have found somewhat of a domestic boost since returning from March’s international break, Thursday’s hosts have struggled to find any kind of stability throughout 2024.

Crashing out of the Champions League last month following a routine 4-1 aggregate defeat against French icons PSG, La Real have recorded just a quarter of wins from any of their previous 15 appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, mustering just a single victory from any of their previous eight showdowns against Los Blancos, Sociedad have continued to gain a reputation for their glaring issues on home soil.

In fact, the top-six contenders have remarkably registered just a single win at the Reale Arena from any of their last 10 contests in front of their own supporters – a run that stems all the way back to November 26th.
