Former USA boss Bruce Arena has been confirmed as successor of Ruud Gullit at MLS side LA Galaxy.

By taking the LA job, Arena will begin his third MLS job after DC United from 1996 to 1998 and New York Red Bulls in 2006 and 2007.

But Arena gained most of his fame leading the United States national team to the quarter finals at the 2002 World Cup and to Gold Cup victories in 2002 and 2005.

At LA Galaxy, Arena will be working with team captain and England midfielder David Beckham.
