Argentine keeper in high demand

Daily Mirror has learned that Estudiantes goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli is on the radar of several high-profile clubs from Europe.

The 21-year-old only established himself as a first team regular last season, but he has since been working wonders in Argentine top division.

Rulli even managed to break club’s record by going more than six games without conceding and it appears Europe’s top clubs are lining up for his signature.

According to Daily Mirror, Manchester City are in pole position, whilst Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and FC Porto are keen as well.

The Citizens will stay without Costel Pantilimon in the summer and they plan to sign Rulli as a back-up for Joe Hart.

Geronimo Rulli has so far amassed 39 league appearances for Estudiantes, while featuring in another three Copa Argentina matches.

The interesting thing is he has yet to represent Argentina at any level, but that looks likely to change in the near future.
