Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has moved on to reveal that Serie A leaders will attempt to convince their injured striker Arkadiusz Milik to move on loan to Chievo during the January transfer market.
The Polish striker is not expected to return to full fitness until the end of 2017 after picking up another anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee earlier in September, less than a year after tearing the same ligament in his left leg.
The 23-year-old’s influence at Napoli has been reduced to 28 appearances and 10 goals since joining Partenopei from Ajax last summer and De Laurentiis believed the Napoli striker will benefit from a move to Chievo.
“Milik to Chievo? It might be a solution, we’ll try to convince him.”, Ade Laurentiis told Gazzetta dello Sport.
A loan move to Chievo would allow Milik to maintain the high level of consistency and could possibly speed up his overall recovery and return to full fitness.
