Arnaud Kalimuendo turns down Leeds for Rennes

Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo has turned down the chance to move to Leeds United and will join Rennes instead, according to 90min. The reported has claimed that Leeds wee hopeful of sealing a €25 million deal with defending Ligue 1 champions PSG over the 20-year-old, but the player himself has decided that a transfer to Rennes would be best for him.

Leeds made an offer to Kalimuendo, and he was tempted by it, but the French forward believes that staying in France and playing for Rennes would be best for his career at this stage. Rennes have offered him a five-year deal.

Kalimuendo spent the last two seasons on loan at RC Lens. The youngster scored 12 goals in 27 Ligue 1 starts last season, and scored seven goals and provided three assists in 13 Ligue 1 starts in 2020-21.
