Marko Arnautovic has “burnt the bridges” with West Ham United and is not wanted at the club anymore, Sky Sports have reported.
Apparently, a €25 million deal has been agreed between the Hammers and Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG, and there is no way back for the forward. West Ham initially found the bid unworthy of consideration, but now they’re ready to a deal under those terms.
Arnautovic’s brother made public comments about the club “using” him, and that was what triggered them to change their stance. Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol claims he’s been in touch with a “very senior source” at West Ham, and having asked if there was any truth in the rumours of the deal being agreed, received a positive reply along with a claim that despite the deal being “awful”, everybody at the club, including the players, the manager and the staff, wanted the Austria international out.
They value the team above any individual and there is no place for Arnautovic in their ranks anymore.
