(GSM) – Marko Arnautovic already appears on his way out of Internazionale, just six months after his arrival from Dutch side FC Twente.
Arnautovic had a strong season at FC Twente last year which caught the attention of several European top clubs. The Austrian forward decided to join Inter Milan on loan, where he had to work on his recovery from a foot injury in the first weeks after his arrival. He has been fit for a while now but hasn’t seen match action for the Italian giants yet.
Inter boss Jose Mourinho hasn’t been impressed by Arnautovic and doesn’t want to work with him after the winter break. The Portugese manager has overlooked Arnautovic for their Coppa Italia tie with Livorno tonight, which would have been the ideal stage for the youngster to prove his worth. Arnautovic is expected to return to FC Twente next month.
“The relationship between Jose Mourinho and Marko is far from ideal,” states Arnoutovic’ agent Rob Groener in Dutch paper AD. “We have to find a good solution now.
“Marko is desperate to get playing time after the winter break, and he’s likely to leave Inter,” Groener added.
This is especially bad news for FC Twente, since the Dutch outfit will not receive the € 10m transfer fee they agreed with Inter this summer when they sealed the loan deal.
