Market: Arsenal to beat Everton

Odds: 1/3 @ Bet365

The Premier League returns to its more usual spot at the weekend as the league continues to heat up. A number of clubs were condemned to damaging defeats in their last games and they will be desperate to bounce back with a morale-boosting win. With this in mind, Arsenal host Everton on Saturday.

Arsenal were one of the teams that lost in the week as they were punished by relegation-threatened Swansea City in a 3-1 loss meaning it is vital that they bounce back this weekend. After 25 games they have won 12, drawn six and lost seven, scoring 46 goals and conceding 34 times. In their last five they have won once, lost twice and drawn twice which has seen them onto 42 points for the season so far. They are a mammoth 26 points behind leaders Manchester City, and they are eight points behind Chelsea in the final Champions League place. The Gunners will be hoping to see new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang take to the field, with the London side unusually blunt in attack recently.

Everton had been in a run of poor form recently but a win in their last game should see confidence returning to the side. After 25 games they have won eight, drawn seven and lost 10, while they have scored 28 goals and conceded 40 times. In their last five they have lost three games, drawn once and won once which has seen them onto 31 points. Sam Allardyce will be desperate to make it two wins in two with a famous victory at the Emirates Stadium.
