Arsenal 13/10 to beat Wolves in Tuesday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Arsenal win

Odds: 13/10 @ 888sport

Looking to pile even more pressure onto Wolves on Tuesday evening, Arsenal will make the trip to an empty Molineux in midweek.

Starting with the hosts, while Wolves might have managed to snatch a scrappy point away at Chelsea last week, the Oranges slumped back to losing ways over the weekend. Eventually getting hit with a 1-0 defeat away at Crystal Palace, it appears that the pressure is starting to mount on Nuno Espírito Santo’s shoulders. Still slumping it out in the bottom-half of the table and still struggling to fill the void left by attacking talisman Raul Jiminez, the Midlands outfit are in the midst of a remarkable eight-match Premier League winless run, a run that stems back to the middle of December. Also suffering back-to-back defeats on home soil, including that action-packed 3-2 defeat against bitter rivals West Brom, Wolves could face another stern test in midweek.

As for the visitors, while Arsenal might have left the Emirates with a point against Manchester United over the weekend, Mikel Arteta’s side would have been disappointed to have not claimed more. Only continuing to make a string of improvements after what was a worrying start to the 2020/21 campaign, the Gunners suddenly have a European finish at the top of their agenda. Claiming what was an eye-catching 3-1 romp away at Southampton last week, Arsenal are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League contests, winning five of those appearances. Looking to extend on their recent purple patch in the Midlands this week, it should also be noted that Arteta’s side have won each of their last three straight top-flight contests outside of North London.
