Arsenal 1/5 to beat Swansea in Saturday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Arsenal to beat Swansea

Odds: 1/5 @ Bet365

The Premier League returns this weekend following the midweek EFL Cup games. Gaps are starting to appear both at the top and the bottom of the table, and each and every team is in desperate need of three points for their own season objectives. With this in mind, Arsenal’s game against Swansea sees two sides with very different aspirations going head-to-head.

Arsenal got back to winning ways at the weekend following a demoralising 2-1 defeat at the hands of Watford by beating lowly Everton 5-2. While the Toffees were there to be beaten, Arsene Wenger’s side looked closer to their best, although defensive mistakes did lead to both of Everton’s goals, which clearly shows that they still have their frailties at the back and can be exploited by the right team.

Swansea, on the other hand, are coming off the back of a very disappointing defeat at the hands of Leicester, which was preceded by a much-needed win over Huddersfield the weekend before. Their EFL Cup game with Manchester United in the week also ended in defeat, but the Swans are far better off focusing on their league campaign with relegation looming large. They have had some joy against Arsenal in the past, but the fact that they have won just two games in the Premier League this season means optimism is not particularly high. With this in mind, Bet365 have given Arsenal odds of 1/5 to beat Swansea.
