Arsenal welcome Swansea City to the Emirates Stadium tonight in the Premier League, and are hoping they can quickly put their recent defeats behind them with a positive response against a struggling Swansea side.
The Gunners have come under a lot of criticism after following up a poor showing in the Champions League with defeat to an injury-hit Manchester United side, but they can still put pressure on the top-two with a win this evening.
Currently third in the Premier League table and six points adrift of the leaders Leicester City, victory over Swansea would halve the deficit and potentially see them level on points with fierce rivals Tottenham should they lose their game to West Ham.
While Swansea are Arsenal’s bogey team – winning two of their last three league head-to-heads – their recent form could well see the Gunners finally dispatching of the Welsh club. City have gone four games without a win, while picking up one win from their previous eight away games.
