Arsenal may have been regarded as one of the main candidates for the Premier League title just a couple of weeks back, but things have changed considerably for Arsene Wenger’s side of late.
Back to back setbacks against Liverpool and Manchester United hinted the Gunners were not yet ready to mount a serious title challenge, with even their top 4 place now in danger.
And with 12 games to go, their six-point advantage over fifth-placed Tottenham does not seem impressive, so bear in mind the Gunners are priced at 6/1 to miss out on a top 4 finish.
With Olivier Giroud misfiring at the moment and Mesut Ozil blowing hot and cold, the Gunners face a difficult end of the season, especially as the Champions League and FA Cup campaigns could take the wind out of their sails.
Arguably their best player this season Aaron Ramsey continues to miss out, whereas the absence of a proven goalscorer is shaping up to be a major worry.
Arsenal could need a while to recover from the 5-1 hammering at the hands of Liverpool, while they have yet to play Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton away, while hosting Manchester City.
This is enough to suggest their top 4 place is by no means certain, with an extremely interesting season finale on the horizon.
