Arsenal 8/15 to beat West Ham in Tuesday’s EFL Cup game

Competition: EFL Cup

Market: Arsenal to beat West Ham

Odds: 8/15 @ Bet365

The festive period continues in full force this week with a glut of massive games to come. The Premier League must take a backseat in midweek though as the EFL Cup returns for the quarter-finals of the competition, with all of the remaining teams dreaming of lifting the first piece of silverware in the English season. With all of this in mind, Arsenal host West Ham on Tuesday.

Arsenal have been in good form this season and they will be looking to add a piece of silverware to their campaign which would see a lot of the pressure that has been building on Arsene Wenger in recent weeks lift slightly. In the league, they have been inconsistent to say the least. In their last five games, they have won twice, drawn twice and lost once, which has seen the side to fifth with 33 points.  A victory over West Ham in the Cup could be a turning point in a season that has failed to ignite so far.

For West Ham, the EFL Cup brings another chance for David Moyes to improve his team. Following an awful start to the season, the Hammers are now in 15th in the league with 17 points, which have come largely thanks to their rejuvenation in their last three games that has seen the side take seven points from their games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Stoke. Moyes’ side will be confident of getting another result against the Gunners. With all of this in mind, we are backing Arsenal with odds of 8/15 from Bet365.
