A lot of Premier League fans believe that Arsenal were the real winners of the January transfer window, and it’s easy to see why. The Gunners added both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which helped minimise the impact of losing the talismanic Alexis Sanchez, and also convinced Mesut Ozil to stay put in North London.
Despite their impressive additions, Arsene Wenger is already looking ahead to the summer window for another opportunity to bolster his squad. Lyon star Nabil Fakir is the name at the top of his wish-list, according to the Guardian, and Arsenal are now the front runners to acquire his services as Catalan super club Barcelona have reportedly dropped their interest.
Fekir has registered an impressive 16 goals and six assists in 23 Ligue 1 games this season, and he has been a constant top level performer for Lyon over the past few seasons. There is little doubt of the 24-year old’s talent, and he would make an excellent addition to Arsenal’s squad.
