Premier League giants Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The Gunners decided to make a move on the Germany international after both Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista suffered serious injuries in pre-season.
The Daily Mail claims that the player has accepted an offer from the Emirates and he was in turn left out of Valencia squad for a pre-season game.
The two clubs have yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee, but everything suggests los Che will accept a £30 million proposal in the coming days.
Shkodran Mustafi will relish the opportunity to prove his worth in English Premier League, having previously made just one appearance during a two-and-a-half-year spell with Everton.
The 24-year-old has since developed into one of Europe’s best centre-backs enjoying successful stints with Sampdoria and Valencia.
