Arsenal and Aston Villa eye Sivert Mannsverk

Arsenal and Aston Villa are interested in Sogndal midfielder Sivert Mannsverk in the January transfer window, According to La Lazio Siamo Noi. Italian club Lazio are also claimed to be interested in securing the services of the midfielder, and so are Ajax, Bologna and Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 18-year-old is a rising star in Norwegian football and has scored five goals and provided five assists in 43 appearances in the second division in Norway. The teenager is a very good and promising young player who plays predominately as a central midfielder, but he also can be deployed in a deeper role.

It will be interesting to see where Mannsverk eventually moves to in the January transfer window. Despite his potential, it cannot be ignored that the midfielder is only 18 years of age and is unlikely to go straight into the first team at Arsenal or Villa.
