Arsenal and Barcelona want to sign Arthur Vermeeren

Arsenal are interested in signing Arthur Vermeeren from Royal Antwerp in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Vermeeren is valued at €20 million. Barcelona are keen on the midfielder as well and could make a bid for the 18-year-old Belgium international in the middle of the season.

Vermeeren has scored one goal and given two assists in 12 Jupiler Pro League matches so far this season. The 18-year-old Belgium international midfielder has also given two assists in three UEFA Champions League games so far this campaign. Vermeeren scored one goal and gave two assists in 24 league starts last season.

Arsenal are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 10 matches, three points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City, who have played 11 games. Meanwhile, Royal Antwerp currently find themselves seventh in the Belgian First Division A table with 17 points from 12 games.
