Portuguese newspaper A Bola has learned that Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are among clubs showing interest in Olympiakos striker Kostas Mitroglou.
The 25-year-old forward is enjoying the best season of his career and his impressive performances did not go unnoticed.
According to A Bola, both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund plan to make a move in January in an attempt to beat other interested sides to the player’s signature.
And while the Gunners desperately need back up for Olivier Giroud, the Millionaires see the Greek international as a good long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
While showing a lot of potential over the last two seasons, Mitroglou has exploded onto the biggest stage this term, notching 13 goals in 11 appearances for Olympiakos.
The player, who has already bagged four hat-tricks this season, is just 8/15 to continue his amazing scoring run against OFI Crete.
Mitroglou has also nailed down a regular starting berth in the national team and he will be hoping to help Greece reach the 2014 World Cup by eliminating Romania in the play-offs.
